Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides - Preview
Director - Rob Marshall (Previous Film: Nine)
In a nutshell....
Captain Jack Sparrow crosses paths with Angelica, a woman from his past, and he is not sure whether he loves her. He doubts that she might be using him to find the Fountain of Youth. Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure when Angelica forces him aboard Queen Anne's Revenge, the ship of her father Blackbeard. Jack does not know who to fear more, Angelica or his old foe, Blackbeard.
Captain Jack Sparrow's back, but this time his accomplices look different. Some say the exclusion of Knightley and Bloom is a heavy loss for the franchise while others are of the view that Cruz's inclusion cancels that out. Frankly, I'm not too concerned as far as Depp stays around. With his classy and loony style Depp has made several fans across the world. The franchise has seen a lot of success thanks to Depp and now it comes as a test for him and the makers as they go from a famous and successful trio to a potentially explosive duo. On Stranger Tides has a good plot and the prospect of watching it in 3D, a first in this franchise, will attract larger audiences to the cinemas than ever before. A change in the director's seat might see a better, improved Pirates movie, who knows! There is no doubt that this film will see a massive opening and with the decent Cannes reviews, I'm sure this one will fare very well.

In a nutshell....
A family travels to the French capital for business purposes. The family includes a young engaged couple, Gil and Inez, who are forced to confront the illusion that a life different from their own is better.
A huge star cast, a love story with comic undertones, European backdrops, all of this means it is the work of one man who has made over 40 films, Woody Allen. Yes, this man never runs out of ideas and always manages to win hearts across the globe. This time he's set his film in the French capital, and has spoken very little about it. The opening night screening at Cannes saw a great reception and later, reviews full of praises. It has a great star cast, and though majority Woody Allen films revolve around the same plots, this one seems to have an interesting story. Midnight In Paris is said to be notches higher than You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger, and the performances are touted to be splendid. All these reasons are more than sufficient to watch this film. With the kind of popularity Allen brings with him, and a massive star cast to add to the mix, this film will experience a grand opening and a great run on the box office, especially because of the positive reviews coming in from Cannes.
