In a nutshell....
Eddie Morra is an unemployed copywriter and his girlfriend, Lindy, has broken up with him. Dejected, Eddie believes he has no future and feels hopeless. Just then a friend introduces him to an experimental drug, NZT. With the use of this drug Eddie becomes highly focused and confident, remembering everything he reads, hears and sees. He uses this ability to become successful in the financial world, and starts working for Karl Van Loon, a business mogul. Eddie's success attracts wrong people who want him dead. As he tries to escape from the clutches of the bad men, he also fights some disorders and irregularities happening from the drug.
I watched the trailer of this film once, twice, thrice and then again. So excited am I to watch this one that I can't wait for Friday to come. The idea of having a drug that could increase the potential of your brain to its maximum, startles me. Several things are possible if the brain works to its 100% capacity, and it seems Limitless explores quite a few of them. So far Neil Burger has written and directed all three of his films prior to this one, which he has only directed. The Illusionist is my favourite of them all, and it was also appreciated by many across the globe. Thus I have high hopes from this one as the director has had a good track record. A lot of women are crazy about Cooper, so are men about Cornish. We all love De Niro. Which means this film will see a huge opening at the box office, also considering that it is having a worldwide release. Limitless has a unique concept and is high on uberness quotient which is why it is my pick of the week. Wish this film provides entertainment limitless!

In a nutshell....
Driver is an ex con who is out to avenge his brother's death as he and Driver were double crossed during a heist years ago. A veteran policeman, Cop, and an egocentric hitman, Killer, look to hunt him down.
It's strange that this film's releasing in the UK so late. It'd released in India a while ago but I haven't watched it yet, but from the US and Indian critics and film goers' reviews and comments I feel I missed the opportunity of watching a decent entertainer. This, by no means is a cinematic treat where one looks for great and deep meaning in the story but it certainly offers a lot of entertainment. I heard it's been shot well and the actions sequences are fine, especially the car chases. If not for anything else, Faster is a film that one can certainly watch for Dwayne Johnson. It'll have a fair run on the box office I suppose, and perhaps also win the hearts of the viewers. .

In a nutshell....
Sammy is a young sea turtle born in the late 1950s in a beautiful, pollution free world. The film tracks his life and journey through 50 years into a world affected by global warming and other hazards.
This film released in many parts of Europe and a few other nations of the world, last year. A first of its kind, it is all about a kid turtle growing up. The young turtles are extremely cute and lovable. It has a nice story but the reviews from abroad haven't been quite appealing. Most of the critics and viewers said this was an average film and didn't offer anything extraordinary. However, this one has a lot to offer to kids especially when watched in 3D. So take the kids and have some good family time this weekend. I'm also eager to know how Gemma Arterton's done with her first voiceover film.

In a nutshell....
A rising country music song writer, Beau Hutton, sparks with a fallen star, Kelly Canter, and together they mount his ascent and her comeback. Their partnership creates complications with her husband/manager, James Canter, and Hutton's love interest, a beauty queen turned singer, Chiles Stanton.
This film released in the US on the 7th of January, this year. It was the first week of The Opening Shot and I chose not to preview this film, considering it's lack of appeal. And now I feel so glad I didn't preview it. Country Strong might have an interesting plot, and Gwyneth Paltrow in the lead, but it isn't as interesting as it promises to be. It was ridiculed for its weak characterisations and a familiar story that is more like a mixed version of Crazy Heart and other music based films of recent times. England is playing in the Quarter finals of the cricket world cup, and a host of many interesting premier league games are going to feature this weekend. Therefore, I suggest you all not to give this film even a second thought. Watch some sport at home.

In a nutshell....
Young centurion Marcus Aquila arrives from Rome to solve the mystery of the disappearance of the entire Ninth Legion, commander of which was his father, Flavius Aquila. Marcus sets out across Hadrian's Wall into the uncharted highlands of Caledonia, along with his British slave, Esca. Together, they confront savage tribes and find the lost legion's Golden emblem, The Eagle of the Ninth.
Although set in 140 AD, The Eagle seems to be entertaining enough for the present audiences with some adventure in store. The recreation of the historic age of the second century should be interesting. Although there aren't big names in this one, the film relies on the young shoulders of Tatum and Bell. This one didn't do a great job at the US box office but I think it might fare well here. Besides, I think it is worth watching once for the efforts put in by the makers and the cast.
