Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap

Studio – Viacom 18 Motion Pictures (Previous Film: Shaitan)
Director - Poori Jagannath (Previous Film: Momma's Man)

In a nutshell....

Vijay, a retired hitman, is living a settled life in Paris. On getting his one last job, he travels to India, and while on the mission to eliminate his target, he confronts his past which changes his life and motive to kill.

The persona and style of Mr. Bachchan is so influential and intimidating that right from a kid to the eldest person in the family would all like to either emulate it or just be awed by him. Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap has all the reasons why a family should go and watch it. First and foremost, the mega action star of the 70s is back in his original style, which people grew up watching and aping over the decades. Second, this film offers a dose of entertainment of the kind that the films of the past offered. There's action, drama, romance with some comic relief, packaged with the contemporary style and also with the inclusion of an item song. In short, this film belongs to the category which makes even the connoisseurs of cinema clap their hands and whistle. I wouldn't even care to talk about the other actors of the film as Big B is the man! The film will see a great opening for sure as Mr. Bachchan is coming back to the silver screen after 16 months. And I'm sure, he's definitely more an Angry Young Man than an Angry Old Man. All braced to watch the Baap of Bollywood in style.

Delhi Belly

Studio – UTV Motion Pictures (Previous Film: Thank You)
Director - Abhinay Deo (Previous Film: Game)

In a nutshell....

Tashi, Arun and Nitin are friends, flatmates and partners in crime. While Tashi is totally confused about whether his fiancee is the right girl for him, Arun is in a dilemma of whom to kill first, his annoying boss or his girlfriend who dumped him. And Nitin is about to experience the worst case of Delhi Belly because he ate tandoori chicken off a street vendor. Their lives are to get miserable as they are on the hit list of the world's deadliest crime syndicates.

Cuss words, abusive language, bold scenes and into-your-face stories have become the flavour of the year when it comes to experimental and different cinema. Actually, it's just showing the reality in a fictional mode. And, Delhi Belly seems to be the most promising of all. Coming from one of the most fail-proof production houses, Delhi Belly defies convention, and that's perhaps the factor that separates it from all. The story seems to be quite real, and there's no filmy hero involved. Each character seems to be sketched out of real life. There's a lot of black comedy in store and that's something which Indian audiences are not used to watching. Besides, Abhinay Deo's vision seems to be impressive. The songs of this film, although very unlike the typical Bollywood songs, are already a massive hit. In fact, that popularity is going to be highly responsible to draw audiences to the theatres. The fact that Delhi Belly is an English language adult film might just go against the film when it comes to making it big at the box office. Because such types of films appeal to only a certain section of the demography, the success may not be as huge as Bbuddah. However, the novelty factor and a style which the youth relates to easily, will work in the favour of this Aamir Khan Productions film.
